Much like the mythical Phoenix, The Unconstrained Discourse has risen from the flames of it's previous incarnation.

It's been over 3 years since I last put pen to paper (ok, I'm not really writing with a pen but that sounds soooooo good) and enlightened my readers with my wit and wisdom. There are a number of reasons for the long hiatus, but there's one that stands above all others: writing The Unconstrained Discourse was simply too time consuming to do. Well, that's not entirely accurate. Writing it wasn't too bad, but getting the darn thing up on the Internet was a real pain.

I won't go into all the technical nitty-gritty, but after I wrote a Discourse there was then a long process of conversion and publishing before it was up where you could view it. Not only was it a long process, but it could only be done from one place -- my home office. It was just too much of a hassle.

But I missed it. I thought about it occassionally. I almost started it back up several times.

Well, technology has progressed and I have progressed. Everybody and their grandma has a blog and they are fairly easy and pain-free to maintain, so I decided it was time for a rebirth.

So here it is. The Unconstrained Discourse is back with a brand new look; and even more importantly, a brand new engine under the hood. I can write, and publish, from anywhere there's an Internet connection. In fact, I'm writing this from the comfort of my recliner while watching some mindless dribble on television.
